Two two new young employees at Solid

Solid has two new young employees! Sam Ritzer and Maaike van Klink. These two winners combine their work at Solid with their studies, but that’s not all… Maaike plays football in the first team of ADO Den Haag Women and Sam participates in international robotics competitions.

These two hard workers have made a good start at Solid as Project supporters. They participate in intercontinental scrum meetings with the team in India and have had an initial introduction to Solid’s software. They both indicate that there are interfaces between their studies and their work at Solid. Maaike studies International Politics in Leiden. She examines policy at organizations and especially the international aspect of this. “I enjoy getting to know an organization from the inside at Solid Online, especially because there is also a branch in India. I find it interesting to learn how international cooperation works in practice.” Sam will go to TU Delft after the summer to study Maritime Technology. “Analytical thinking is very important at Solid and in my studies, and problems must be quickly solved in both.”

A challenge for both students, for whom their ambitions lie in learning new skills. Sam: “For now my ambition is still learning and learning.” Maaike: “I would like to delve into something and see how I can develop within the organization.” Of course, both bring their own skills. For Maaike, that is “a fresh look combined with perseverance to get things done”. Sam hopes to “become a good team member that makes a real contribution”. So both of them have good intentions! Both Sam and Maaike indicate that the work experience they gain at Solid is important for their future. Maaike: “I hope to learn a lot about how things work in an international company. I also hope to learn a lot about how IT projects work. Sam: “I hope to learn at Solid how to work in a real team and how real business works.”

We are happy with these two hard workers and their good start. From Solid we are doing everything we can to make that important contribution to their future!
